Mark Whitehead
President
Mr. Whitehead has been in the development and construction industry for over 30 years learning the business from the ground up. He started his career as a field superintendent overseeing daily operations and eventually became one of the co-owners of Brandywine Homes, a leader in infill development and the construction of residential for-sale and apartment communities throughout Southern California. Most recently, he was responsible for managing the entitlements, purchasing and construction of all residential for-sale and apartment communities constructed throughout Southern California by Brandywine Homes. Throughout his tenure, Mark has worked to establish long-term relationships with material suppliers, professional consultants, and subcontractors in addition to managing the entitlement process. He has a strong ability to work closely with municipal officials during the entitlement process and a track record of working with numerous local jurisdictions to create cohesive communities.
Mark now owns KES Homes where he works as a general contractor specializing in production homebuilding, custom homes, and high-end remodeling projects. He also regularly consults in the industry to assist developers and property owners with new development projects. With his extensive operations knowledge, he ensures clear and decisive communications with the owners and efficient coordination with trade partners throughout the construction process. This typically includes established meetings with the owners, review of construction schedules, budgets and value engineering, oversight of change orders and RFI’s, and providing guidance on monthly bank draws. His consulting role includes guidance on entitlements and navigating proposed projects through various city departments and other agencies, as well as acting as an owner’s representative through the construction buildout of various developments.
Mr. Whitehead graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Chapman University. He maintains a General Contractor – Class B License with the California Contractors State License Board.

Heather Whitehead
General Counsel and Director of Risk Management
Heather Whitehead has been an attorney working in the development and construction industry for over 20 years. She works on all legal matters for KES Homes, as well as being responsible for risk manamgement, corporate governance, and compliance considerations for the organization. This includes contracting and purchasing, analyzing and structuring insurance coverages, entity formation and documentation as well as negotiating and drafting subcontracts, consulting agreements, master agreement forms and other construction and real estate agreements.
Prior to joining the company, Ms. Whitehead’s practice focused on developing strategies for addressing business risks facing the real estate and construction industries. This included negotiating and drafting of contract documents, construction and real estate agreements as well as providing guidance on insurance programs and operational risk management strategies for all types of developments, including multi-family and residential projects. She advised clients on acquisition, financing, land development, construction, sales and project closeout matters, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, construction contracts, CC&Rs and other project governance documents, disclosures, SB800/Title 7 compliance documents and a variety of other construction-related documents. She also has experience working as in-house legal counsel specializing in HOA and community relations, as well as advising on corporate governance, construction, risk management and compliance considerations.
Ms. Whitehead is a member of the California State Bar and graduated with her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. She also holds a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.

Scott Bowers
General Superintendent
Scott Bowers is a dedicated and highly experienced General Superintendent with over 30 years in residential construction, specializing in production homebuilding, custom home construction, and remodeling projects. Known for leading teams with integrity and precision, he has successfully delivered hundreds of homes that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Scott has led teams of subcontractors, trade partners, and site managers, ensuring smooth coordination across all disciplines. He is skilled at efficiently managing construction site operations, project scheduling, subcontractor management, enforcing code and inspection requirements, and implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising craftsmanship.
Customer satisfaction is also at the core of Scott’s leadership approach. He works closely with owners and design consultants to align the build process with owners’ expectations, ensuring transparency, communication, and a positive experience throughout the lifecycle of each project.
